My research interest is on the control of energy balance by thyroid hormone and on how temperature homeostasis -largely the energy spent in thermogenesis- affect energy balance. I am studying various transgenic mouse models, and analyzing the responses of patients undergoing Roux-en-Y gastric bypass to a major, forced negative caloric balance.
