more mice and humans) prevents it; 2) that donor APCs promote GVHD but are dispensable for graft-versus-leukemia (GVL); and 3) that memory T cells do not cause GVHD but transfer functional memory from donor to recipient. Dr. Shlomchik is testing this in the clinic along with collaborators from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. These findings were published in Science (2 papers), Nature Medicine and the JCI.
