Dr. Eltzschig’s research work is focused on hypoxia elicited adaptive responses during inflammatory conditions. He has made seminal contributions by identifying novel hypoxia-elicited signaling pathways. Targeting these pathways has provided new treatment approaches for inflammatory disorders central to the field of anesthesiology and critical care medicine.
