Dr. Felker’s research is focused on two avenues for advancing the care of patients with heart failure: (1) the development of new therapeutics for acute heart failure and (2) the role of circulating biomarkers in heart failure diagnosis and therapy. He has developed and led multiple clinical trials designed to evaluate and validate the role of novel agents as therapies for acute heart failure, and has developed new methodologies for the design and conduct of early-phase studies for heart failure therapeutics. Additionally, his research program focuses on validation of novel biomarkers for heart failure diagnosis, prognosis, and guiding titration of therapy.
