Dr. Jiang is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto and his M.D. from Stanford School of Medicine. After completing his clinical residency training in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Dr. Jiang was recruited as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and a Center for Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) Scholar at MD Anderson. As a physician-scientist, Dr. Jiang is focused on the treatment of primary and metastatic central nervous system tumors. His laboratory research aims to identify ways to promote innate immunity as a new strategy to eliminate cancer using bioengineering, protein engineering, and nano-engineering approaches. Dr. Jiang’s research has been consistently published in leading peer-reviewed journals and is one of the most cited investigators in his respective field. As principal investigator, Dr. Jiang is supported by multiple R01grant fundings from the NCI and NINDS, the Department of Defense, and CPRIT, as well as private foundations such as the American Cancer Society and Susan Komen Foundation.
