Fátima Rodriguez, MD, MPH, FACC, FAHA, FASPC is Section Chief of Preventive Cardiology, Vice Chair of Clinical Research in the Department of Medicine, and Associate Director of the Stanford Center for Digital Health. She earned her MD from Harvard Medical School and MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health as a Zuckerman Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and cardiology fellowship at Stanford University before joining the faculty.

Dr. Rodriguez is a nationally renown leading preventive cardiologist and clinical researcher dedicated to advancing early detection and prevention of cardiometabolic disease. Her multidisciplinary research program leverages technology and data science to (1) personalize cardiovascular risk prediction, (2) uncover drivers of variation in cardiovascular outcomes across populations, and (3) implement equitable, evidence-based interventions. She has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and is recognized with numerous honors, including the 2022 American College of Cardiology Douglas P. Zipes Distinguished Young Scientist Award and the 2025 American Heart Association Joseph A. Vita Award for great impact in the field of cardiovascular health.

Her work is funded by the NIH/NHLBI, the American Heart Association, and Doris Duke Foundation. Dr. Rodriguez is a Fellow of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and is on the board of the American Society of Preventive Cardiology. She serves on the AHA Scientific Publishing Committee and is President-Elect of the AHA Bay Area Board.
