Bryan Sun, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Dermatology and Biological Chemistry at the University of California Irvine. He received his MD and PhD at Harvard Medical School with a research thesis focused on the biological mechanisms of non-coding RNAs in regulating mammalian X-chromosome inactivation. He completed his residency in dermatology and post-doctoral training at Stanford University.

Dr. Sun is a practicing dermatologist caring for patients with neurofibromatosis, ichthyoses, cancer susceptibility syndromes, and other genetic skin disorders. His research laboratory focuses on understanding genomic regulators that control skin development, with particular interest in functional elements of the non-protein coding genome that contribute to disease.
